About Me
Ramelle was born in Los Angeles where her parents met and fell in love. Their relationship ended when she turned 6 months old and her mother moved them back to her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee where Ramelle attended elementary, junior, and high school. The 1980s brought horror to the family with the AIDS epidemic which moved both Ramelle and mom back to California to care for her ailing father who received the HIV virus through his Hemophilia treatments. When her dad passed, her world shattered. Ramelle received a BA in Journalism from California State University at Northridge in 1998, Ramelle wanted to be a Broadcast News Producer out the gate but considering the harsh reality of systemic racism in the 1990s in some Broadcast markets she decided instead to take bit parts in television on such shows as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Will & Grace, and Chicago Hope. In 1999, she met whom she believed was the love of her life but after a tumultuous union, she divorced, coming full circle, and commanding her power as a Domestic Violence survivor. In 2016, she started an Entertainment blog titled sationalramdotcom; rebranded it to ramelledotsite; getting volunteer gigs as Blogger/Red Carpet Host, thereafter she started wersurvivorsdotcom, a well-received blog positioned to shed light on disparities between women, men, and children face turmoil in abusive situations; the WeRSurvivors Blog has plans to be active again this Fall 2022.
Today 2022, Ramelle Carter Media LLC is a viable company that gathers positive news stories that uplift our community. You can watch her latest show called “Red Carpet Ready” which we are celebrating 7 years on the Red Carpet.
